After more than a year of preparation, the time has come to submit your proposals for the OrganiCity Open call for Experimentation. The cities of Aarhus, London and Santander have been connected via an extensive set of tools, data sources and services in order to provide an interoperable facility for citizen experimentation with smart city technologies.
In addition, an extensive research and engagement process has identified challenge areas for each of the cities (see Aarhus, London and Santander’s previous blog posts), which provide guidance on key issues that your potential experiments might address.
There are two categories of open call. The first offers up to 60.000 € in funding and closes on June 29th 2016. The second category, our “rolling call,” offers funding up to 10.000 € and includes deadlines for application on June 29th, September 19th and November 1st 2016. Experiments can start in the beginning of September 2016.
We’ve worked hard to design an open call process that enables experimenters to apply with ease. In addition to our application process you will find a full list of the tools available through OrganiCity here on this website. We have also provided a growing Frequently Asked Questions page and a helpdesk email address (firstname.lastname@example.org) to help with all your technical and open call related questions.
Follow us on Twitter and on the Facebook pages for Aarhus, London and Santander for information about local clinics – local events which are happening soon to help answer your questions and meet other potential experimenters.
