Helping citizens have power/gas supply in Imo city

Imo state is an oil producing state in Nigeria and have civil service jobs and agriculture as their major source of livelihood. The governor Owelle Anayo Rochas Okorocha is doing a great job now in the area of provision of road networks round the state which is making everywhere easily accessible but the citizens are interested in the quality of the roads,waste management, services like water, electricity, and other infrastructures. The level of emission of CO2 and gas flaring in the state is of serious concern to the citizens. Am a lecturer and would involve all concerned to achieve this.

What is unique about the community

The very fertile land in this state is under utilised. The city is at level zero as the road construction going on require pedestrian lane, service lane, green area etc and to make the movement of the physically challenged in the city easier. The gas that is being flared can be converted for electric power generation and piped for economic benefits. The weather is very good here, so we need to reduce the level of co2 emissions to reduce global warming. Imo city is densely populated.

What can the community contribute?

This community would provide data from Africa on CO2 emission data, citizens participation in projects executed in the community, security, lifestyle, transportation etc
